Today I worked mostly on the cardboard PowerPoint. I worked on the first three slides of the PowerPoint because they come form the package I did. I also had to make some changes on my package because they were wrong. I finished the sketches and I started to do some descriptions on them.

2/08/2012

Today we are working and finishing the questions in the second section of the cardboard chair project. We are starting on section 7 of the project and doing many dimensions of the sketches. Mostly we are working on section 7, we are answering all the tabs in section 7 with complete sentences and paragraphs.

02/06/2012

Today we worked on the sketch and the briefly explanation of each sketch. We have 12 sketches and we each wrote a brief short explanation of them. We also worked on the research questions and the vocabulary. We worked on the blog because we had somethings to fix. We worked on the package. We already have the first three done.

Problem Statement

We were asked to brainstorm a design for a cardboard chair. We have to select three or more of the designs and make orthographic sketches of each. We also have to Build scale models of each of the three designs using index cards. Select the best design and build a scale prototype using cardboard, the scale will be 2” = 1’.Last we have to complete a drawing using any software like paint, google sketchup, etc. Then we have to make a brochure about the chair. We use our Blog web site to post our progress each week. Build a full size prototype of your design that will be tested by Ms. Nguyen after she considers is safe. We have to do power point presentation to explain what we did, how we did it and what things we learned. When done with everything we turn it in a Design Portfolio with daily entries about our progress, design notes, sketches of work, research, etc.
